Dr. Evelyn Ohaus is a licensed clinical psychologist who provides comprehensive mental health services to individuals, couples, and families. Her practice is rooted in an integrated, systems-based approach, blending evidence-based behavioral interventions with a deep understanding of relational and contextual influences. Dr. Ohaus is committed to helping clients develop compassion for themselves, clarify their roles and boundaries, and build practical skills to navigate life’s complexities.

Dr. Ohaus offers individual therapy for late adolescents through older adults, couples therapy, and family therapy. Her individual sessions focus on self-understanding, values-driven change, and support for neurodivergent clients, including those with ADHD and autism. Couples therapy is guided by a systems perspective, emphasizing mutual influence, effective communication, and enhanced understanding between partners. Family therapy is especially tailored for families undergoing role transitions—such as retirement, changes in employment, or chronic health diagnoses—and for families with adult children, focusing on role clarification, boundary setting, and improving communication. In addition, Dr. Ohaus provides comprehensive psychological assessments for ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, and overall personality functioning, offering clients clarity and direction regarding their strengths and challenges.

Dr. Ohaus began her academic journey at Tulane University in New Orleans, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Sociology. Her studies at Tulane fostered a systems-level perspective, encouraging her to view psychological well-being within the broader context of social and relational dynamics. She continued her education at the University of Denver, earning both her Master’s and Doctorate (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology, with a specialization in couples and family therapy.

Her professional experience is extensive and diverse, spanning community mental health, substance use treatment, college counseling centers, inpatient psychiatric units, and private practice. This wide-ranging background has equipped Dr. Ohaus with a unique ability to understand and support clients from all walks of life, and to address a broad spectrum of mental health presentations with empathy and expertise.

Dr. Ohaus grew up in Alaska and has lived in New Orleans, Seattle, Boston, Utah, and Colorado. These varied environments have enriched her understanding of the human experience and shaped her appreciation for cultural and individual diversity. Outside of her clinical work, she is an avid adventurer, spending her free time skiing, hiking, and exploring the mountains. She is passionate about travel and cherishes her home life with several beloved dogs. As a clinician who is herself diagnosed with ADHD, Dr. Ohaus brings lived experience and insight into the joys and challenges of neurodivergence, both personally and professionally. This perspective informs her work, allowing her to connect authentically with clients and support them as they navigate their own journeys.

Dr. Ohaus is dedicated to providing compassionate, collaborative, and effective care and welcomes clients seeking support, understanding, and growth.
